DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

WHY

Traditional forms of public service provision can change rapidly with the introduction of AItechnologies (e.g. improve quality of public service, increase efficiency and effectiveness delivery, foster citizens’ trust).

WHAT

Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) is a regional trade and investment promotion agency in Flanders, Belgium. FIT’s priorities can be defined as being twofold: one, trying to lower the threshold for Flemish firms to doing business abroad (e.g. by providing financial support, expert knowledge, networking opportunities, or establishing contacts with potential partners abroad); two, attracting foreign investors to Flanders e.g. by providing tailored guidance to companies with an investment project on setting up business in Flanders). All this by leveraging the collective effort of 339 employees spread out over 96 FIT offices worldwide.

We designed the AI Journey for FIT by:
• Modernizing customer interaction, where AI is used to discover effectively potential Customers and optimizing the interaction with them.
• Empowering people, to enable FIT employees to do more and to simplify their life with data driven decisions and better understanding of the processes
• Optimizing processes, by reducing costs and time of existing business processes to have a more effective organization, both more scalable and more reactive

IMPACT

FIT embraced a lead scenario becoming a lighthouse in the AI ecosystem of Belgium and an example for EU public administrations reforms. Lear more about our AI journey at FIT :
